Chiropractic treatments are known as adjustments and they can correct spinal misalignment and restore movement to fixated spinal joints. Almost anyone is a candidate: newborns, infants, children, seniors, and everyone in between (even most patients who have had spinal surgery). Often areas below or above the surgical site will become fixated and lose movement and determining if adjustments are contraindicated is a clinical call Dr. Steve or Dr. Paula will make. If you are not a candidate, they will refer you to a specialist who can help with your particular situation.

CARE PLANS
Corrective care is a series of more frequent adjustments (usually 2 - 3 times a week, for several weeks, and tapering after that). Your specific schedule is designed for you to produce the greatest results in the shortest amount of time. If we don’t see you often enough our ability to reduce negative patterns in your spine is impaired. The amount of time you spend for these adjustments is dependent on many factors. Again this in specific to the individual patient and their condition/symptoms.

Regular Maintenance is also encouraged and is usually determined between patient and doctor. With maximum restoration of spinal function a regular chiropractic checkup can save time and money by helping prevent little problems from becoming serious.

In order to actually correct the problem, rather than simply alleviate the symptoms, a series of treatments is usually necessary.

After your initial visit, the doctor will discuss with you a specific chiropractic care plan best suited to your individual needs. In most cases, the doctor will use the classic technique developed by D.D. Palmer, the founder of chiropractic in the United States. This is a motion palpation, full spine technique that allows for specificity in correcting mechanical distortions of the spine.

Acupuncture is a therapeutic method used to encourage natural healing, reduce or relieve pain and improve function of affected areas of the body. Acupuncture is safe and effective and is often successfully used as an alternative to many treatments. Relief is often obtained when traditional therapies have failed.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles through the skin and tissues at specific points on the body. There is no injection of any substance and the treatment itself causes minimal discomfort.

Dr. Paula Radovich uses acupuncture in conjunction with chiropractic adjustive techniques (dependent on the injury sustained) to treat a wide variety of complaints and conditions including migraines, lower back pain, neck pain, knee pain and a variety of other musculoskeletal issues.

Acupuncture is very effective in treating a variety of painful disorders, both acute and chronic. The World Health Organization has identified the benefits of acupuncture in the treatment of a wide range of health problems including (but not limited to) the list seen below.

Dr. Paula is a registered acupuncturist with the CTCMPAO (College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario).
